One year ago, I took a leap of faith and made one of my crazy dreams a reality. When I first decided to start a blog, I literally had no idea what I was getting myself into. First of all, I had no idea how to make a website, and I had to figure out how to design a website from scratch (which took forever). Planning out photo shoots and blogs took way more effort than I thought. I thought having a blog meant taking some pictures and writing a couple paragraphs about it, but wow, I was so wrong. When I was starting off taking pictures I had no idea how to pose whatsoever but I have had photographers who have graciously taught me what to do. For content, I had no idea how to get sponsors, so I spent hours contacting many myself, with some eventual success. I definitely never expected a blog to be this much work but through all of my struggles and times of trial and error, I have found my true passion.
From a young age, I have always been a little fashionista. Well, at least I thought I was, some of those outfits are very questionable. I have always loved fashion and now I have a way to express it. I love that I have the opportunity to share my love of fashion with you all and that I can divulge a few of my secrets along the way too. I can’t put into words how thankful I am for all the love and support I have gotten and all the opportunities I have been given because I stepped outside of my comfort zone. I would not have been able to pursue my dream without all the amazing friends and family that I have around me, and I am so thankful for their love and support. I encourage anyone who is debating whether they should pursue a dream of theirs to take a leap of faith and go for it. If you really believe in your dream and you put in the effort, your dream can become a reality.
A year ago I would have never imagined that I would be in this position. This year has been a huge transition for me, as I’ve moved 2,000 miles away from Austin to Boston. I am in love with the city of Boston. I love being a “city girl” and getting to make this new city my own. But Austin will always be home and I am so happy that I get to come back to such a great city. Thank you for following me on this journey, and thank you for your patience as I continue to figure out this whole blog thing. I have some very exciting projects and blog posts coming up that I think you will enjoy! Here’s to many more years and many more posts! I can’t thank you enough for all of your support! Thank you, thank you, thank you! xoxo Elise
